Meiringen–Hasliberg Piste Map and Overview
Meiringen–Hasliberg is a beautifully balanced ski resort in the Bernese Oberland that combines big mountain views with an easygoing, family-friendly atmosphere. Stretching from the valley town of Meiringen up to panoramic slopes above 2,400 metres, it offers a surprisingly varied ski experience for its size. The resort sits in a wide alpine bowl, which means long, scenic runs and plenty of open terrain rather than tight, enclosed pistes. With reliable snowmaking on key sections and a solid vertical drop, it’s a dependable choice for a relaxed but proper Swiss ski trip.
What makes Hasliberg especially appealing is how well it suits progression. Intermediates get endless red runs that feel natural and flowing, while beginners benefit from well-organised learning areas near Bidmi and Reuti. More advanced riders aren’t left out either — higher up around Planplatten and Mägisalp you’ll find steeper sections, freeride-style terrain between pistes, and a few genuinely challenging descents like the “Nordpol” run. Snowboarders tend to enjoy the wide carving slopes and the freestyle park at Mägisalp, while the lack of heavy crowds keeps everything feeling relaxed and enjoyable.

Ski Season Length and Dates
The ski season typically runs from mid-December through early April, depending on snow conditions. Thanks to its altitude and north-facing slopes in key areas, Meiringen–Hasliberg usually maintains good skiing through most of winter, with the most reliable conditions from January to March.
Is it good for beginners?
Yes — this is one of the more beginner-friendly mid-sized resorts in Switzerland. The lower mountain areas (especially Bidmi and Reuti) have gentle blue runs, dedicated beginner zones, and ski school facilities that are close to the main lifts. The gondola system also makes it easy to reach higher terrain without stressful skiing down, which helps beginners build confidence gradually while still enjoying big mountain scenery.
