Corvatsch Piste Map and Overview
Corvatsch is one of Switzerland’s most underrated high-altitude ski destinations, sitting in the stunning Engadin Valley near St. Moritz. What makes it so special is the combination of reliable snow, dramatic Alpine scenery, and long, flowing runs that are perfect for both skiers and snowboarders. The resort reaches over 3,300 metres, giving it one of the highest skiable elevations in the region, while the north-facing slopes help preserve excellent snow conditions throughout the season. From wide-open carving pistes to freeride terrain and a world-class snowpark, Corvatsch offers a more relaxed and authentic alternative to some of the busier Swiss mega-resorts.
Snowboarders especially love Corvatsch thanks to its natural terrain, long descents, and famous Corvatsch Park, which is regarded as one of the best freestyle parks in Switzerland. Intermediate riders will find endless red runs to explore, while advanced skiers can enjoy steep off-piste routes and glacier scenery that feels genuinely alpine and adventurous. The resort also offers Switzerland’s longest illuminated night run, creating a completely different atmosphere once the sun goes down. Add in stylish mountain restaurants, quick lift connections, and easy access from St. Moritz, and Corvatsch becomes an incredible destination for anyone wanting a premium ski experience without the overcrowded feel of larger international resorts.

The Corvatsch ski season usually runs from late November through late April or early May, making it one of the longer seasons in the Swiss Alps thanks to its glacier terrain and high altitude.
Is it good for beginners?
Corvatsch is better suited to confident beginners and intermediate skiers rather than absolute first-timers. There are dedicated nursery slopes and beginner practice areas at Furtschellas and Cristins, but much of the terrain is made up of long red runs and steeper alpine descents. Beginners who take lessons will still enjoy the resort, especially because the slopes are wide and beautifully groomed, but complete newcomers may find nearby Corviglia slightly easier overall.
