Golm Piste Map and Overview

Golm is one of the most family-friendly ski resorts in Austria, combining scenic tree-lined runs, reliable snow conditions and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it ideal for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Located in the Montafon region of Vorarlberg, the resort offers a fantastic mix of gentle beginner slopes, flowing intermediate pistes and a handful of exciting challenges for advanced riders. Unlike some larger Alpine resorts, Golm remains refreshingly uncrowded, allowing you to spend more time skiing and less time queuing for lifts.

What really makes Golm stand out is its variety. Families and beginners can enjoy wide, confidence-building slopes, while experienced skiers can tackle the famous Diabolo run, one of the steepest marked pistes in Austria. The resort also boasts one of the longest descents in the region, stretching over 9 km with a vertical drop of around 1,460 metres. Snowboarders particularly appreciate the wide cruising terrain and natural tree-lined sections that provide shelter and visibility during poor weather.

Is it good for beginners?

Yes — Golm is one of the best beginner-friendly ski resorts in the Montafon region. The resort has dedicated practice areas, wide blue runs, excellent ski schools and a layout that makes progression easy. Families are a major focus here, with plenty of gentle terrain and beginner-friendly facilities throughout the mountain. At the same time, there is enough intermediate terrain to keep improving skiers entertained for an entire holiday.
