Hatley Pointe – formerly Wolf Ridge – is a fantastic destination for families and intermediate skiers seeking a friendly and scenic ski getaway. Perched on Big Bald Mountain just north of Asheville, it offers a well-rounded terrain mix with 15 runs: 4 beginner, 9 intermediate, and 2 advanced, as well as one terrain park. The compact layout, served by a quad chairlift, a double chair, and two surface lifts, ensures minimal lift lines and easy access to the slopes. With 100 % snowmaking and night skiing on all trails, it’s reliable even on marginal snow years.
What makes Hatley Pointe stand out is its elevated location – base sits at approximately 4,000 ft (1,219 m), with a summit at around 4,700 ft (1,432 m), resulting in a solid 700 ft (213 m) vertical drop.
