Dry Hill Piste Map and Overview

Dry Hill Ski Area is a delightful small-scale resort ideal for beginners, families, and learners. Nestled in New York’s Tug Hill region just south of Watertown, it offers seven trails served by up to three lifts – including a double chair, a T-bar, and a magic carpet. The terrain park and snow tubing park are both supported by strong snowmaking capabilities, making it a dependable destination even when natural snowfall is light. With an intimate, community-focused vibe, warm après options like the Fireside Lounge, and military-friendly pricing, it’s a welcoming and affordable place to build confidence before heading to larger resorts.

Despite its modest size, Dry Hill offers enough vertical and variety to be fun and effective for skill development. A vertical drop of about 91 m (300 ft) gives learners enough pitch to work on turns without intimidation, and the terrain mix (roughly equal beginner/intermediate runs plus one advanced) keeps progression straightforward. Ownership under the Indy Pass network also makes it accessible as part of a multi-resort pass, adding to its practicality for regional skiers.
