Bristol Mountain Piste Map and Overview

Bristol Mountain, located near Canandaigua Lake in the Finger Lakes region, boasts the largest vertical drop ( 1,200 ft / 366 m) in New York State between the Adirondack and Rocky Mountains – delivering a surprisingly big-mountain feel for the area. With two high-speed detachable quads and multiple other lifts, it offers fast access to 34–39 well‑groomed trails (across terrain ranging from beginner greens to challenging black diamonds), plus multiple terrain parks. The combination of expansive vistas, variety of runs, and high-efficiency infrastructure make it especially popular among skiers and snowboarders seeking more elevation and speed in a regional setting.

Night skiing is a highlight – almost all of Bristol’s terrain is lit (96–97%), and its state-of-the-art snowmaking system delivers nearly 100% coverage, so conditions remain reliable even in marginal winters. The mountain also provides cross‑country Nordic loops at its summit and mid‑mountain food spots like the slopeside waffle house. Despite being more modest in acreage compared to larger resorts, its vertical, infrastructure investments, and scenic location make it a favorite for both local regulars and day‑trippers from Rochester or Buffalo.
