Black Mountain Ski Area in Jackson, New Hampshire, offers a nostalgic and community-focused skiing experience that stands out in the Mount Washington Valley. Established in 1935, it is one of the oldest ski areas in the state and has maintained its charm through decades of operation. The resort features 45 trails and glades across 143 skiable acres, with a vertical drop of 1,100 feet, providing a variety of terrain suitable for all skill levels. The mountain is served by five lifts, including a triple chairlift, a double chairlift, and three surface lifts, ensuring efficient access to its diverse slopes.

In recent years, Black Mountain has embraced modern technology to enhance the guest experience while preserving its traditional, family-friendly atmosphere. Under new ownership by the Black Mountain Cooperative, the resort has implemented online ticketing, lesson reservations, and equipment rentals, streamlining operations and improving efficiency. These updates have contributed to increased season pass sales and extended the ski season into May for the first time in its history.
