Abenaki Piste Map and Overview

Abenaki Ski Area in Wolfeboro is a hidden gem in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, beloved for its authentic, community-driven vibe and relaxed atmosphere. Opened in 1936 and still town-owned, it proudly operates with zero lift lines, a cozy lodge with a woodstove, and a friendly local staff. Though modest in scale, it offers a surprising range: seven trails that cater to beginners, intermediates, and even black-diamond skiers, plus glade skiing and a terrain park for snowboarders, along with night skiing – a rich variety for such an intimate hill.

What really sets Abenaki apart is its charm and laid-back character. The high-speed rope tow (one of the fastest east of the Mississippi) delivers quick laps, the snowmaking keeps conditions fresh, and the uncrowded slopes mean you can ski without the usual hustle. It’s perfect for families, locals, and anyone wanting a low-key, budget-friendly alternative to New Hampshire’s larger resort scene – yet with all the fun and a strong sense of history.
