Scuol Piste Map and Overview

Set in the sunny Lower Engadine, Scuol blends high-altitude skiing with authentic alpine charm. The ski area above the village — Motta Naluns — offers wide, panoramic slopes with sweeping views across into Austria and Italy. It’s refreshingly uncrowded compared to Switzerland’s bigger-name resorts, giving you plenty of space to carve and explore at your own pace.

Scuol is particularly loved for its long, flowing runs and reliable snow conditions. With skiing up to nearly 2,800 metres, the upper slopes hold excellent snow well into spring. The terrain is varied enough to keep intermediates entertained all week, while beginners benefit from gentle nursery areas and progression-friendly blues. Off the slopes, the traditional Engadine architecture and famous thermal baths add a relaxing touch to your ski trip.

Ski Season Length and Dates

Typically late November to late April, depending on snowfall. Thanks to its high elevation and north-facing slopes, Scuol often enjoys a long, snow-sure season.

Is it good for beginners?

Yes — especially at the lower Motta Naluns sector, where there are dedicated beginner zones and wide blue runs for progression. While there’s a solid amount of steeper terrain overall, beginners can comfortably stick to the gentler areas and gradually build confidence.

What’s included in the Ski Pass?

The standard lift pass covers the full Scuol–Motta Naluns ski area, including:

  • All lifts and pistes in the Motta Naluns sector
  • Gondola access from Scuol village
  • Chairlifts and surface lifts across the ski domain
  • Marked ski routes and freeride areas
  • Beginner practice areas

Does it include multiple resorts?
No — the standard pass covers the Scuol–Motta Naluns ski area only. It is not directly linked by lift to neighbouring resorts.

Are cheaper passes available?
Yes — there are half-day tickets, beginner-area passes, and flexible day options available. You do not need to purchase access to a wider regional ski network unless you choose to ski elsewhere in the Engadine separately.
