Champoussin Piste Map and Overview
Champoussin is a charming, high-altitude ski village in the Swiss Alps that feels like a peaceful hideaway — but don’t let the serenity fool you. The slopes here are framed by breathtaking views of the Dents du Midi, giving skiers and snowboarders a real sense of alpine magic. Despite being small, the resort is very well connected via lift links into the vast Portes du Soleil ski area, so you can easily explore a huge terrain network once you’re ready to branch out. The mix of gentle slopes, longer runs, and off-piste options makes it ideal for families, beginners, and those looking for a quiet base with access to big-mountain adventure.
For freeriders and more adventurous skiers, Champoussin has plenty to offer too. There are high alpine points like the Pointe de l’Au (up to 2,152 m) that open into freeride bowls and long descents, including a 7 km run toward Morgins. The lift system is efficient – yet the resort remains uncrowded by comparison to bigger hubs, giving you more freedom to carve or explore untouched terrain.

What’s included in the Champoussin Ski Pass?
There is a limited pass option called the Swiss-only (CLCF) pass, which is cheaper than purchasing a pass to cover all of Portes du Soleil. The Swiss-only (CLCF) pass covers just Champéry, Les Crosets, Champoussin and Morgins (and their lifts/routes), without giving access to the wider French part of Portes du Soleil.
With a Portes du Soleil ski pass, you can access the full cross-border area, not just the Champoussin sector. Without this, you would be limited to just the local Swiss side. If you only want to ski Champoussin and its immediate neighbourhood (e.g. Les Crosets, Champoussin, Morgins), there is a separate Swiss-only pass (the CLCF pass) that covers those resorts, so you don’t necessarily need to buy the full area pass if you plan to stay more local.
