Ski Season Length and Dates
The Jungfrau region typically opens from late November to late April, with snow reliability increasing at higher elevations. Glacier areas and high-altitude runs allow for good skiing conditions throughout the season, and in favorable snow years, skiing can extend into early May, particularly on the higher slopes around Kleine Scheidegg and Männlichen.

Is it good for beginners?
Yes – the Jungfrau region is very beginner-friendly. Areas like Wengen, Grindelwald, and Mürren offer wide, gentle blue slopes, dedicated learning zones, and excellent ski schools. The connected lift systems allow beginners to gradually explore more terrain at their own pace, while intermediates and advanced skiers can enjoy the more challenging red and black runs higher up.
The standard Jungfrau ski pass allows access to all linked ski areas within the region, including Grindelwald, Wengen, Mürren, and Kleine Scheidegg. If you want to access other nearby regions outside the Jungfrau network, separate ski passes may be required.
