Adelboden Piste Map and Overview
Tucked into the heart of the Bernese Oberland, Adelboden offers that classic Swiss ski experience — wide-open slopes, postcard-perfect mountain views, and impeccably groomed runs. Linked with neighbouring Lenk, the area forms one of the largest and most varied ski regions in Switzerland, meaning you get everything from gentle cruising pistes to long, confidence-boosting descents. The scenery is just as memorable as the skiing, with sweeping views towards iconic Alpine peaks and charming wooden chalets lining the village.
What really makes Adelboden stand out is its balance. It’s large enough to keep advanced skiers entertained all week, yet welcoming and unintimidating for beginners and families. Snow reliability is strong thanks to modern snowmaking, and lift infrastructure is efficient, keeping queues minimal even in peak season. Add in cosy mountain restaurants and lively après-ski spots, and you’ve got a destination that delivers both on and off the slopes.

Is it good for beginners?
Yes – Adelboden is particularly beginner-friendly. There are dedicated nursery areas in the village, gentle blue runs higher up the mountain, and excellent English-speaking ski schools. The progression from beginner slopes to longer cruising blues is smooth, making it ideal for building confidence without feeling overwhelmed.
What’s included in the Ski Pass?
The main lift pass covers the entire Adelboden–Lenk ski area, which includes:
- All lifts and pistes in Adelboden
- All lifts and pistes in Lenk im Simmental
- Access to the linked ski sectors such as Silleren, Hahnenmoos, Metsch, and Betelberg
- Mountain gondolas and chairlifts within the ski domain
- Marked ski routes and snow parks
- Access to designated children’s beginner areas
Does it include multiple resorts?
Yes – the lift pass covers both Adelboden and Lenk as one connected ski area.
Are cheaper passes available?
Yes – there are sector-specific passes available (for example, Betelberg-only or Metsch-only passes) which are cheaper than the full-area pass. This is useful for beginners or shorter stays. You do not have to purchase the full-area pass if you only want access to a smaller section.
