Rauland Piste Map and Overview
Rauland Ski Resort is one of the largest and most varied winter destinations in Telemark, Norway. What makes it a great place to ski is its family‑friendly atmosphere, wide range of terrain across multiple linked areas (Tiur, Holtardalen and Vierli), and snow‑sure conditions thanks to its mountain plateau location. There’s plenty to enjoy for everyone from beginners and families to intermediate skiers, including gentle cruisers, varied reds and some steeper runs, plus parks and night skiing. Its traditional Norwegian ski village vibe, accessible lifts, and beautiful scenery make it a good option for relaxed ski breaks without the crowds often found at larger Alpine resorts.
By combining all three areas under one lift pass, you get greater variety and more kilometres of skiing in a compact setting that’s still easy to navigate — ideal for week‑long holidays or long weekend getaways from southern Norway or Oslo. The resort also offers extensive cross‑country trails, children’s areas, and apres‑ski facilities, making it appealing for mixed groups who want more than just downhill runs.
