Kongsberg Piste Map and Overview
Kongsberg Skisenter is a charming and accessible ski resort in Buskerud county, Norway, just about an hour or so from Oslo — making it a great choice for a quick ski escape or weekend trip. Although it’s smaller than many alpine giants, Kongsberg packs plenty of fun into its compact network of slopes, with varied terrain suitable for beginners through to more confident skiers and snowboarders. The resort’s modern lifts (including a 6‑seater chairlift with heated seats and bubble cover) whisk you up to great views over the town and valley, and with all runs floodlit you can keep enjoying the mountain well into the evening.
What makes Kongsberg especially appealing is its friendly, local vibe combined with just enough variety to keep you entertained. Gentle cruisers and dedicated beginner areas make it a great learning ground, while intermediate and advanced riders can enjoy steeper cruisers and a fun terrain park with snowcross features for freestylers. You’ll also find good facilities including equipment rental, cozy cafés and extensive cross‑country trails nearby if you want to combine alpine with Nordic skiing — so even though the area is smaller, there’s plenty to do both on and off the slopes.
