Hemsedal Piste Map and Overview

Hemsedal Ski Resort is widely regarded as one of Norway’s top winter sports destinations — often nicknamed the “Scandinavian Alps” because of its impressive vertical, varied terrain and long, snow‑sure season. Set in the Hallingdal Valley and served by a modern lift network, it delivers a great mix of wide, well‑groomed pistes, challenging terrain and excellent freestyle areas with terrain parks and halfpipes. With relaxed mountain cafés, lively après‑ski options and a welcoming social vibe across the villages and slopes, Hemsedal feels equally at home for adventurous riders chasing big runs as it does for families and groups looking to enjoy a full winter holiday.

The resort spreads out over three main peaks — Totten, Tinden and Roni — which gives you long descents (some up to about 6 km) and a real sense of adventure with every run. Beginners will find gentle green and blue terrain easy to access, intermediates can cruise long scenic trails, and more confident skiers and snowboarders can seek out steeper sections and off‑piste lines when conditions allow. Hemsedal also shines off the pistes with extensive cross‑country trails and winter activities like dog sledding and snowshoe hikes, making it a great choice if you want variety alongside your downhill fun.
