Hafjell Piste Map and Overview
Hafjell is one of Norway’s most popular and accessible ski resorts, known for its blend of family‑friendly fun and exciting terrain that suits skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Located just north of Lillehammer, this alpine centre was developed for the 1994 Winter Olympics and has continued to evolve into a modern, versatile resort with beautiful views over the Gudbrandsdalen valley. With long, well‑groomed runs, efficient lifts including a gondola to quickly reach higher terrain, and snowmaking covering most of the slopes, Hafjell delivers reliable snow conditions and lots of variety on the mountain.
What makes Hafjell stand out is how well it caters to everyone — from total beginners and families to more confident skiers and snowboarders looking for longer descents and terrain parks. There are wide cruising runs, fun forest trails, three terrain parks, and even night skiing on floodlit slopes in the evening. Add to that outstanding cross‑country networks nearby and easy access from Oslo by car or public transport, and you’ve got a resort that’s welcoming, scenic, and exciting without feeling overcrowded.
