Rotwand Piste Map and Overview
Rotwand (Croda Rossa) is one of the most unique skiing areas in the Three Peaks Dolomites, known for its striking red-hued rock formations and peaceful, wide-open slopes. Unlike some of the more dramatic or busy Alpine resorts, Rotwand offers a calm, scenic skiing experience where you can truly take in the landscape while enjoying smooth, flowing pistes. It’s especially beautiful on clear days when the Dolomites glow in the sunlight.
This area is particularly appealing for families and intermediate skiers who enjoy long, relaxed runs without heavy crowds. Snowboarders will also appreciate the natural flow of the terrain and the forgiving layout. While it doesn’t focus on extreme terrain, Rotwand excels at offering a comfortable, enjoyable ride with plenty of space to explore at your own pace.
