Is it good for beginners?

Yes – and here’s why:

  • Gentle slopes and wide cruisers: Around Obereggen and Pampeago, there are several long, wide blue runs perfect for learning and practicing turns without feeling crowded or intimidating.
  • Dedicated beginner zones: Both Obereggen and Pampeago have designated beginner areas with magic carpets, easy lifts, and gentle terrain to help first-timers gain confidence.
  • Ski schools and instructors: The region has multiple English-speaking ski schools offering group or private lessons, making it easier for beginners to progress quickly.
  • Connectivity to easier runs: Even as a beginner, you can explore multiple lifts and connected areas without venturing onto advanced slopes, giving a sense of variety without risk.

Does the ski pass allow you to access the larger ski area?

Marmolada is included within the Arabba–Marmolada area of the Dolomiti Superski network. Access is available with either a local Arabba–Marmolada pass or the full Dolomiti Superski pass. Further information is included below.

Part of the Val di Fiemme/Obereggen ski circuit – which means the Latemar sector is linked with nearby areas like Alpe Lusia‑Bellamonte, Alpe Cermis and Jochgrimm/Oclini when you buy the multi‑day pass.

Skiing on up to 111 km of slopes within the wider Val di Fiemme/Obereggen ski pass.

Option to upgrade to the Dolomiti Superski pass (1,200 km of slopes), which gives access to all 12 major Dolomiti Superski areas across the Dolomites.
