Kronplatz, located in South Tyrol, Italy, is a modern and highly accessible ski resort known for its wide, perfectly groomed pistes and stunning panoramic views of the Dolomites. The area caters to all levels, with long, gentle blue runs for beginners, plenty of red runs for intermediates, and a selection of black runs for more advanced skiers. Its efficient lift system – including multiple gondolas and high-speed chairlifts – means less waiting and more time on the slopes, making it ideal for families, groups, and solo adventurers alike.

What sets Kronplatz apart is its versatility and excellent snow reliability. Snowmaking covers most of the ski area, ensuring good conditions throughout the season. Freestyle snowboarders and park enthusiasts will appreciate the well-maintained snow parks, while the resort’s sunny terraces and mountain huts provide the perfect spots to relax between runs. Kronplatz is also well-connected to the broader Dolomiti Superski network, making it a convenient base for exploring other nearby areas if desired.

Is it good for beginners?

Kronplatz has a great selection of wide, gentle blue runs and excellent ski schools, making it beginner-friendly while still offering plenty of options for progression to more challenging terrain.

Does the ski pass allow you to access the larger ski area?

The Dolomiti Superski pass includes Kronplatz, but if you plan to ski mainly on Kronplatz, a local area pass is available and more economical.


What’s included in the Ski Pass?

The Kronplatz local ski pass covers all lifts and slopes within the Kronplatz area, giving full access to its beginner, intermediate, and advanced runs as well as snow parks.

The Dolomiti Superski pass extends access to all 12 interconnected ski areas, including Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Arabba–Marmolada, Val di Fassa, Cortina d’Ampezzo, and others.

Cheaper passes are available for just Kronplatz if you don’t plan to explore the entire Dolomiti Superski network, making it ideal for short stays or focused skiing in a single area.
