Garmisch Classic (Garmisch-Partenkirchen) is one of Germany’s premier ski destinations, offering a diverse range of terrain across three mountains: Hausberg, Kreuzeck, and Alpspitze. With 40 km (25 miles) of slopes, it caters to all levels – from beginners to advanced skiers. The resort is renowned for its challenging Kandahar course, a staple in World Cup events. Additionally, the resort features a fun park, a children’s area, and a BMW XDrive track, ensuring a variety of activities for all visitors.
The resort boasts a vertical drop of 1,310 m (4,298 ft), with the highest point reaching 2,050 m (6,725 ft) and the base at 740 m (2,428 ft). This significant elevation difference provides skiers with long descents and panoramic alpine views. Garmisch Classic’s infrastructure includes 18 lifts, comprising 4 gondolas, 4 chairlifts, and 10 surface lifts, facilitating efficient access to the slopes.
