Val Cenis Piste Map and Overview
Val Cenis (often called Val Cenis Vanoise) is a French Alpine ski resort in the Haute Maurienne Vanoise region of the French Alps, close to the Italian border. It’s known for its varied and scenic terrain spread across several linked sectors (including Lanslebourg, Lanslevillard and Termignon), making it a great all‑round choice for families, beginners and intermediate skiers alike. The resort boasts wide, well‑groomed slopes, plenty of gentle blues and reds, and some steeper sections, plus scenic long runs with views of the surrounding mountains and Mont Cenis Lake. With a relaxed, traditional Alpine village atmosphere, good snow reliability through winter and a mix of piste and off‑piste options, Val Cenis delivers an enjoyable and less crowded alternative to some of the bigger French ski areas.
Val Cenis’s large ski domain and north‑facing terrain help ensure good snow cover throughout the season, and its long cruiser runs (including L’Escargot, one of Europe’s longest green runs) make it particularly appealing for those building confidence or enjoying long descents. The resort also features terrain parks, family‑friendly zones and links to additional neighbouring areas on multi‑resort passes, giving plenty of variety for holiday stays.
