Avoriaz Piste Map and Overview
Avoriaz is a dream spot for skiers and snowboarders looking for a fun, high‑altitude playground. Nestled right in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, it offers access to over 650 km of pistes across 12 French and Swiss resorts, giving you immense variety. The resort itself is packed with terrain: 53 runs, four snowparks, boardercross, snow‑cross – whether you’re into big jumps, natural features, or tree runs, Avoriaz delivers.
But what really makes Avoriaz special is its vibe. It’s completely pedestrianised – no cars – so you ski (or walk) straight from your chalet to the lifts. The town has that classic Alpine charm mixed with modern freestyle energy. The snowparks, especially, are world-class, attracting freestylers from all over.

What’s Included in the Ski Pass?
- Avoriaz offers two main lift‑pass options: a local Avoriaz pass (for the Avoriaz 1800 ski area) and a Portes du Soleil pass that covers the entire Franco‑Swiss domain.
- The Portes du Soleil pass gives you access to 12 linked resorts, including Avoriaz, Morzine, Les Gets, Châtel, Champéry, Morgins and more – around 196 lifts and 286 slopes in total.
- But if you’re mostly staying in Avoriaz, you can save money with the local Avoriaz‑only pass: 5‑hour, 1‑day, or 2‑day options are available.
- There are also beginner passes, pedestrian passes, and a “Park & Stash” pass for accessing the snowparks.
