Les 3 Vallées Ski Map

Les 3 Vallées (The Three Valleys) is widely regarded as one of the most spectacular ski regions in the world. With a massive network of interconnected slopes across seven resorts – including Courchevel, Méribel, Les Menuires, Val Thorens, and more – it offers an almost endless playground for skiers and snowboarders of every level. Whether you’re carving long groomed runs, tackling challenging steeps, or exploring off-piste terrain, there’s terrain to suit your mood. The scale is truly impressive: you can ski from one valley to another without back‑tracking, making every day on the mountain feel like a fresh adventure.

Beyond just the slopes, the region offers outstanding mountain infrastructure, modern lifts, and a range of resort atmospheres to match your style. Want luxury? Head to Courchevel. Prefer a lively, high-altitude ski-in ski-out base? Val Thorens is your spot. For classic alpine charm, Méribel’s wooden chalets and cosy villages shine. This variety, combined with the sheer volume of terrain, means you can ski a different area every day and still feel like there’s more to explore.

Ski Season Length and Dates

Les 3 Vallées typically opens for its full ski‑area connections from 6 December to 17 April each winter.

However, the Val Thorens–Orelle sector (the highest part of the domain) runs for a longer season – from 22 November to 3 May, giving you extended access at higher altitudes.

Is it good for beginners?

Yes – Les 3 Vallées is very beginner‑friendly in many parts. With its vast network of gentle blue runs and well-groomed slopes spread across resorts like Méribel, Les Menuires, and Courchevel, it offers plenty of spacious, forgiving terrain for those just learning or building confidence.

At the same time, because the ski area is so large, beginners can gradually expand their horizons: once comfortable, they can try longer linked runs, cross‑valley pistes, and mild intermediates – without feeling overwhelmed by steep, expert terrain from the start. The modern lift infrastructure also helps beginners move between valleys easily and safely.

What’s included in the Les 3 Vallées Ski Pass?
