Mount Olympus (Troodos) Piste Map and Overview

Mount Olympus (also known as Troodos) in Cyprus stands out as a uniquely charming ski destination – soaking winter sports in the glow of the Mediterranean sun. As the highest peak on the island (around 1,951 m), it surprises visitors with snow-covered slopes from January through March under typically clear skies. Though small, the resort is well-equipped: four ski lifts (including a chairlift on the advanced Zeus slope and T-bar lifts on Sun Valley’s Aphrodite and Hermes, plus Hera) provide access to a balanced mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced terrain. Moreover, it’s the southernmost ski destination in Europe – a novelty that brings a rare ski-in-Cyprus experience with amenities like gear rental, ski schools, and a festive atmosphere.

While compact, the ski area delivers more than its size suggests. Altogether, the runs stretch to approximately 3 km of groomed piste – around 1 km for beginners and about 2 km catering to more experienced skiers. Situated high on the north-facing slopes of Mount Olympus, snow tends to linger thanks to the elevation – ranging from a base elevation of roughly 1,850 m to a peak at about 1,930 m – affording a respectable vertical drop of around 80 m. Despite its modest size, the resort hosts an annual F.I.S.-sanctioned slalom competition on the Zeus piste, affirming its quality and the dedication of Cyprus’s ski community.
