Bodrost is a charming ski resort nestled in Bulgaria’s Rila Mountains, approximately 30 km from Blagoevgrad. It is sometimes referred to as Bodrost Kartala, to help distinguish it from other areas and to reference the nearby Kartala ski zone. Its serene setting and well-maintained slopes make it an ideal destination for skiers seeking a peaceful experience away from bustling crowds. The resort offers 5 km (3.1 miles) of ski runs, predominantly catering to intermediate skiers, with 4.5 km (2.8 miles) of intermediate slopes and 0.5 km (0.3 miles) of easy terrain. Three lifts, including a 6-person gondola, a J-bar, and a baby lift, efficiently transport guests across the resort, ensuring smooth access to the slopes.
Beyond skiing, Bodrost serves as a gateway to the Rila National Park, offering numerous hiking routes that showcase the region’s natural beauty.
