Igman Mountain, located just southwest of Sarajevo, is a notable ski destination in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly recognized for its role in the 1984 Winter Olympics. The Malo Polje area of Igman offers a serene environment ideal for beginners and families. With 3 km (1.9 miles) of slopes and five ski lifts, it provides a compact yet enjoyable skiing experience. The resort’s elevation ranges from 1,160 meters (3,806 feet) at the base to 1,492 meters (4,895 feet) at the peak, ensuring reliable snow conditions throughout the winter season.

Beyond skiing, Igman is rich in natural beauty and history. The mountain is covered with dense evergreen forests and is home to unique flora, including the endemic Bosnian Lily.
