Sölden Piste Map and Overview

Sölden is one of Austria’s premier ski destinations, known for its reliable snow, vast terrain, and high-altitude skiing. With access to two glacier ski areas—Rettenbach and Tiefenbach—it offers long seasons that typically stretch from October to May. The ski area is well-connected by a network of modern lifts and gondolas, providing quick access to a wide variety of slopes suitable for beginners, intermediates, and advanced skiers alike. Sölden is also famous for its lively après-ski scene and its picturesque alpine setting in the Ötztal Valley.

What truly sets Sölden apart is its combination of altitude, terrain variety, and snow reliability. It was the first ski area in Austria to offer three mountains with lift access above 3,000 meters—referred to as the “BIG3.” These peaks give skiers incredible panoramic views and consistently excellent snow conditions. In addition, Sölden regularly hosts the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, highlighting its world-class infrastructure and reputation in the international ski community.
