Ashotsk Piste Map and Overview

Ashotsk Ski Centre, located in the Armenian Highlands near the village of Ashotsk in Shirak Province, offers a unique and authentic winter sports experience. Established in 2019 with support from the European Union, the centre is managed by the Armenian Ski Federation and the local community. Known as Armenia’s coldest region, Ashotsk experiences winter temperatures as low as -30°C, providing ideal conditions for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and tube-sledding.

The resort is designed to cater to both beginners and experienced skiers, with a focus on cross-country skiing. While it does not feature alpine ski lifts or downhill slopes, the expansive, treeless terrain is perfect for cross-country skiing enthusiasts. The Ashotsk Ski Centre also serves as a training ground for aspiring athletes, offering equipment rentals and lessons. The Miqayelyan family, renowned for their contributions to Armenian skiing, plays a pivotal role in the centre’s operations and development.
