Ski Denton Piste Map and Overview
Nestled in a remote corner of north-central Pennsylvania near Coudersport, Ski Denton, (part of Denton Hill State Park), captured the hearts of skiers with its authentic, rugged charm and varied terrain. Operating under a weary-but-welcoming cloak of rustic stewardship, the area featured everything from gentle beginner runs to famously steep, black-diamond pitches like âAvalancheâ and âExtreme.â With typically ample natural snowfall of over 100 inches and relatively few crowds, the slopes offered a rare blend of solitude and challenge for those who sought it.
Though downhill operations ceased after the 2014â2015 season due to financial and logistical hurdles, the communityâs affection for Ski Denton persists. Thereâs ongoing hope – and even momentum – for revival, bolstered by recent moves toward revitalizing the park as a four-season recreational area that could bring alpine skiing back to Denton Hill.
