Blue Knob Piste Map and Overview

Blue Knob earns its reputation as Pennsylvania’s highest skiable mountain, with a summit elevation surpassing most other resorts in the state – this often means more reliable snow coverage and longer ski seasons . What it lacks in size it makes up for in vertical drop and terrain diversity: with steep bowls, glades, and advanced runs, it attracts more experienced skiers and snowboarders, while still offering beginner and intermediate options near the top. The layout of the mountain features an “inverted” design – where the lodge and parking sit at the summit – letting you start your run immediately downhill and tempting you to squeeze in “just one more run” at the end of the day.

Despite its rugged, rustic charm, Blue Knob brings useful resort amenities: snowmaking covers much of the terrain, there’s night skiing on select runs, snowboard and tubing parks, and even lodging and dining near the slopes. These features, combined with its less-crowded slopes and scenic Allegheny mountain setting, make Blue Knob appealing for both locals and visitors seeking an authentic, thrill-packed winter experience.
