Swain Ski Resort, nestled in the scenic hills of Allegany County, New York, offers a welcoming environment for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. With 35 trails spread across 120 acres, the resort provides a diverse range of terrain, including beginner-friendly slopes and more challenging runs for advanced skiers. The resort boasts a vertical drop of 650 feet (198 meters), ensuring thrilling descents and ample opportunities for carving turns. Swain’s commitment to snow quality is evident, with an impressive 97% snowmaking coverage, complemented by an average annual snowfall of 130 inches (330 cm). This combination ensures reliable and consistent conditions throughout the ski season.

The resort’s infrastructure includes five lifts, comprising three quad chairs, one double chair, and one surface lift, with a combined lift capacity of 8,400 skiers per hour. This efficient lift system minimizes wait times and maximizes time on the slopes. Swain Ski Resort also offers night skiing, allowing visitors to enjoy the slopes under the stars.
