Plattekill Mountain, nestled in the Northern Catskills near Roxbury, New York, offers a unique and authentic skiing experience that sets it apart from larger commercial resorts. Known for its natural snowfall and challenging terrain, Plattekill is often referred to as the “powder capital” of the Catskills. The resort boasts 41 trails spread across 110 acres, with a vertical drop of 1,100 feet, providing skiers with a variety of terrain options, from beginner cruisers to steep double black diamonds.

What truly distinguishes Plattekill is its family-owned atmosphere and commitment to preserving the traditional ski experience. With a modest lift infrastructure comprising four lifts, including a triple chair, double chair, and two surface lifts, the resort maintains short lift lines and a relaxed environment.
