Mount Peter Piste Map and Overview

Mount Peter Ski Area, nestled in Warwick in New York’s scenic Hudson Valley, holds the distinction of being the oldest continually operating ski area in New York State, offering a warm, family-oriented atmosphere maintained by its original operators since 1936. With just 69 skiable acres and 14 well-groomed trails – spanning beginner greens, intermediate blues, and some steeper blacks – the resort is ideal for those learning the sport or enjoying a relaxed ski outing. Its reliable snowmaking across all trails, night skiing, and a tubing park add to its appeal for families and local adventurers.

Despite its modest size, Mount Peter offers a surprisingly complete package: a terrain park, free beginner lessons, a cozy base lodge with café and pub, rental shop, and tubing lanes – all within a lift system that includes one quad chair, two doubles, and carpet conveyors supporting up to six lifts total. Its proximity – just about an hour from New York City – makes it a convenient destination for a day trip or weekend escape without the crowds and complexity of larger resorts.
