To use it’s full name, Middlebury College Snow Bowl in Hancock, Vermont is a cherished gem for skiing enthusiasts drawn to its historic charm and diverse terrain. Having opened in 1934, it’s one of the state’s oldest ski areas and has long nurtured Middlebury College’s alpine teams and Olympians. The mountain features a traditional lodge with a cozy fieldstone fireplace, a full-service rental shop, and a snow school – reating a welcoming environment ideal for families, college racers, and casual skiers alike. With relatively short lift lines, friendly community atmosphere, and no reliance on mega-resort glamour, it offers authentic Vermont skiing at sensible prices.

Yet the Snow Bowl packs serious punch. It delivers approximately 300 m (1,000 ft) of vertical with 17 groomed trails and over 500 additional acres of gladed and backcountry-style terrain, accessed by four lift.
